video : an atheist talking about the absurdity of Christianity

2017

James Roscoe :

Want to know what’s really absurd to me as an agnostic? There’s a lot of pompous pricks in the world who have this world view. It’s not a reasonable conclusion it’s an assumption, just as it is with religious folk. There are many philosophical questions in science that are hard to answer in strictly natural terms. I have no respect for people who choose to mock others beliefs particularly those who are peaceful followers of their faith. If anyone was honest with themselves they would have to say they don’t know what the truth is. I like to keep a sceptical yet open mind to all possibilities. Just as any real truth seeker would.

Todd Haire :

Atheist beg to be in the beginning
Yet no comprehension of the end.

God is Just :

Absurdity of Atheism
If abiogenesis (spontaneous creation without specific design) can be admitted under such conditions of regularity, then purposeful generation and definitely balanced creation can be the result of error ad perplexity, since these two are opposed to abiogenesis.

Such a statement is highly absurd that order and rectitude should come about without a Creator, and disorder and impropriety of design and fate should suppose a Creator. He is an ignoramus who says this, because anything produced without design will never be exact and proportioned, while disorder and contrariness cannot co-exist with orderly design. Allah (swt) is far above what the heretics say.

Josh DeSalvo :

The Bible is pretty clear on the fact that Abel brought his best to God and Cain just brought some of the fruits from the soil. I appreciate your understanding that atheistic views require subjective morality but the issue then arises was Hitler, Stalin, or even the bully in the sixth grade wrong for the actions they chose to do? Why or why not? Is there any right or wrong? If there is, what is the standard to measure right or wrong actions against? The idea with a common ancestor is troublesome in the idea that we have to assume a genetic mutation occurred for the good of the species, based on the evidence we have basically all mutations are harmful to the organism, and we have to assume that enough of that same exact species inherited the same mutation in order to continue to pass on the genetic information until another assumptive event happened that we have no evidence for, created another mutation in which we also have to assume enough of the species also inherited that mutation, found each other, and passed on the genetic information. As far as I can see, it takes quite a lot of faith to believe in something like that. It also appears that the guy you are interviewing has issues with fallen people in the faith rather than in God.

These videos are really mellow and nice.

Elias Ciego :

there are plenty of arithmetics wherein “one plus one” does not equal two – infact, you are
probably familiar with some of them

in the richter scale, for instance – a 1.0 earthquake, and another 1.0 earthquake, would not combine
to make a 2.0 earthquake – that is not at all what “2.0” means in that system [“1 plus 1” in that scale
would be about a magnitude of 1.3]

also, in the pH scale of acidity, “one plus one” does not equal two

in the incredibly popular binary system, “one plus one” does not equal two – infact, “two” is a
nonsensical statement in binary mathematics

you could create your own logarithmic base, just for the purpose of making one plus one
equal three, if you wanted to do that – it would likely become popular among people trying
to debunk atheists

this isn’t to say I don’t take your meaning – I do take your meaning

one day, you may run into a christian mathematician who points these things out to you – if
that happens, maybe try something like “a general solution for fifth degree polynomials”

This is why I’m a Jedi. Yoda is a much more reasonable fictional character. May the force be with you

John La Marca :

God is all powerful? Can God make a stone that is so big he can’t move it?

No, he can’t because he can move it no matter how big he makes it. Trick question. No matter which way they answer, God can’t do something. Try it next time you have a conversation with some religious nut.

chales dor :

jesus is satan the devil an he is not coming back…christians worship satan with a human sacrifice of jesus to satan…youve been decived…REPENT, accept Jahovah an do good works.
