This song isn’t about smoking blunts. It’s about killing people. And the handgun is the weapon of choice as Willie D and partner Sho trade personal murder stories over a beat that’s almost too jazzy and relaxed for the concept.
There are no chorus vocals; just musical accompaniments to the main groove; which gives the listeners time to ponder what they’ve just heard. And as far as I’m concerned, the motives, if true, basically validate their actions.
Legally they’re guilty, but morality suggests logical retaliation. They’re not killing people for no reason. The cop gave Willie D “hell” and the guy Sho killed tried to “gank” him for his money. It’s merely an extreme form of justice.
