rating system
|
My rating system goes from "1" to "5". "1" is the worst, which means nothing can ever score lower than a 1; "3" is mediocre, which means it is directly in the middle between worst and best; and "5" is the best, which means nothing can ever score higher than a 5. Whenever I review, whatever I'm reviewing receives one of those five ratings; no decimal points or anything.
The system works because, unlike a 1-to-10 system, the difference between any two ratings are so vast. For example, just because two songs are rated "3" doesn't necessarily mean they're equal in terms of quality. One can be better or worse than the other; despite the fact that they both share the same rating. Just imagine that; comparing my 1-to-5 rating system to a 1-to-100 system; "1" is 1 thru 20, "2" is 21 thru 40, "3" is 41 thru 60, "4" is 61 thru 80 and "5" is 81 thru 100. One of those two ("3") songs could be a 41 and the other could be a 60; despite the fact that they both share the same rating. It's a clear-cut, fair and accurate rating system; perhaps the most logical as far as the human mind goes. |
