anniversaries

I've never been into anniversaries. I dont celebrate them and barely even acknowledge them. They're beneficial in the sense that they keep past events in an easy time perspective, as in the case of a person's age based on their birthday. But other than that, what's the point? It's not like those events are happening again every year. It just happens to be the same calendar date of a later year. Is that really reason for celebration? And if that's the case, why just every year? Why not celebrate that date of every month? Or better yet, that day of every week? Or how about that time of every day? It would make just as little sense.
